Deactivating a contractor employee

Contractor company administrators that need to deactivate a contractor employee.
Contractor company administrator access is required.
Beakon does not delete user accounts due to record-keeping requirements, but you can deactivate employee accounts to prevent them from logging in and receiving system-generated emails.
1. Understanding account deactivation
Beakon retains user accounts for record-keeping purposes in line with company data policies. If you have concerns about this approach, contact the company you are contracting for.
Deactivating an employee account prevents the user from logging in and stops them receiving system-generated emails, whilst preserving their account history.
2. Navigating to the contractors page
To access the contractors page:
- Navigate to the Contractors tab at the top of the page.
3. Locating the employee
To find the employee you want to deactivate:
- Click the Clear button to clear any existing search filters.
- Use the search function to locate the employee.
4. Deactivating the employee account
To deactivate the employee:
- Click on the employee's name in the list of results.
- Click the Edit button in the profile.
- Locate the Status field.
- Change the status from Active to Inactive.
- Click the Save button.
